“All shall be well. And all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well … for there is a force of love moving through the universe that holds us fast and will never let us go.” —Julian of Norwich (1343-1416) English theologian and mystic

My friend Bob sent me the above quote from Julian of Norwich the other day, and I thought it was appropriate to share it after a week like this one.

The news cycle was loud and messy, which I know feels commonplace these days. A drone strike in Syria this week killed a U.S. contractor, leading the U.S. to launch airstrikes in retaliation. There were rising tensions with Russia, China, and Iran. A powerful tornado swept Mississippi and Alabama causing at least 26 deaths. And there were AI photos of a former president being arrested. They were fake, of course, but they should concern us nonetheless because while AI is revolutionary, make no mistake that it’s also dangerous. And fake photos are just the beginning.
