This week, there were so many stories that punctured my heart.

The images out of Rafah broke my heart. The news about two heroic January 6th police officers being belittled outside a New York City courtroom left me stunned. And the headlines about climate refugees searching for new places to call home, and war refugees searching for food and medicine, deeply saddened me.

Then, of course, there was the biggest story of them all: the verdict that former President Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts in his hush money trial. No matter what political side you stand on, this news was historic. And it caused a storm on social media.
