This week felt heavy with emotion on so many fronts, for so many people.

Watching Hurricane Milton grow and make landfall in Florida this week was both scary and humbling. So was watching our fellow citizens pack up, board up, and search for safety. The loss and devastation took my breath away.

It was also heartbreaking to listen to the pain and fear expressed by my Jewish friends on October 7, the anniversary of the deadliest attack against Jews since the Holocaust. Their stories and pain weighed heavily on my heart. I tried to hold space and just listen.
