Our Sunday Paper Yippee: Two Incredible Women
These two stories uplifted our souls and made us shout Yippee! this past week:
Barbara Ingram of Dallas has decided to take on a new life challenge: going to Harvard. This is an impressive decision for anyone…but we must say, even more so for Ingram considering she is 83-years-young. "It was the best school I could go to, and hardest school I felt I could go to," Ingram explained to ABC 7. She has been studying economics and history. And...
The value of the quarter just sky-rocketed past $.25 in our eyes: Maya Angelou, the brilliant poet laureate, professor, writer, and leader in the civil rights movement, is gracing the new coin. This makes Angelou the first Black woman to appear on US quarter as the Treasury begins distribution. You can learn more via CNN. To these incredible women we say Yippee!
