North Korean defector and human rights activist Yeonmi Park just released her second book While Time Reamins: A North Korean Defector’s Search for Freedom in America. The book details Park’s definition of democracy and the culture shock she experienced in America. Despite her contentious perspective, Park sheds light on the need for all of us to be more compassionate and understanding toward each other.
