This week at The Sunday Paper, we're sharing a new memoir, an uplifting new movie, and a classic NPR show that we believe will add inspiration to your days. We hope these suggestions open your heart and mind and encourage you to come together for meaningful conversations.

What We’re Reading

Emmy Award-winning Actress and singer KeKe Palmer shares both her triumphs and challenges after two decades in the spotlight, beginning at the tender age of 12. In her singularly hilarious and authentic voice, Palmer honestly details her journey to embodying her true self through finding unconditional self-love, worthiness, and setting boundaries. You’ll find plenty of inspiration to channel your own unique power and take control of your personal narrative, despite setbacks and unexpected redirections.

What We’re Listening To

An oldie but a goodie, this hour-long weekly news panel quiz show produced by WBEZ and National Public Radio in Chicago, has been serving up laughs since the mid-90s’ and is still going strong. Attracting over 6 million weekly listeners, Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me charms with host Peter Sagal, a panel of comedians and humorists like Paula Poundstone, Bobcat Goldthwait, and Mo Rocca, and weekly celebrity guests ranging from Hollywood stars such as Tom Hanks (who’s appeared multiple times), politicians including Bernie Sanders and former president Barack Obama, and athletes like Abby Wambach and Jerry Rice. Tune in live on Saturday mornings on NPR or download the weekly episode here.

What We’re Watching

Actresses Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis steal the show in this women-led feature film from director Gia Coppola and writer Kate Gersten, which debuted with rave reviews at the Toronto Film Festival in September. Anderson plays a Las Vegas showgirl named Shelly who faces retirement after 30 years performing on The Strip. A bittersweet story about female aging in the entertainment industry, Shelly faces an uncertain future, while managing relationships with her daughter Hannah (Billie Lourd) and her best friend Annette (Jamie Lee Curtis). Slated for wide theatrical release on January 10, 2025.

Where We’re Giving

In honor of Giving Tuesday this week, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite non-profits that could use our help this holiday season. From some you’ve probably heard of (Save the Children , Feeding America ) to some that may be new to you (Runway for Recovery , Chamber of Mothers ), you’re sure to find a cause that speaks to your heart.
