At The Sunday Paper, we often discover books, podcasts, films, and other works that move the needle and spark inspiring change. This week, we are thrilled to hand the mic again to our Sunday Paper PLUS readers! Our thanks to Catherine, Lauren, and Nancy for their recommendations. We hope what they suggest below opens your heart and mind.

What Lauren Is Watching

What's better than watching Rob Lowe? Watching the hilarious actor and his son, John Owen Lowe, who is equally brilliant. The father-son duo is back with a second season of their Netflix comedy series Unstable, where Rob plays a goofy, wealthy, eccentric biotech business genius with a son who is practical, kind, and living in his father's ego shadow. The tension—the men's personality differences and a business that is failing—provides the perfect backdrop for hilarious and heartfelt moments. This show is a wonderful escape. Thanks for putting season two on our radar, Lauren!

What Catherine Is Reading

Revered historian Doris Kearns Goodwin has been educating the world with her book for decades. In her most recent, An Unfinished Love Story: A Personal History of the 1960s, Goodwin takes us deep into her life, revealing the epic journey through personal history she and her husband, Richard (Dick) Goodwin, went on over his last several years of life. The couple, who was married for 42 years, had wild adventures. Dick worked during John F. Kennedy's era as a speechwriter and later a close advisor to Robert Kennedy. Doris was a White House Fellow and later worked for Lyndon Johnson. This book details their opening of more than 300 boxes of letters, diaries, and documents that Dick had saved, offering the world an illuminating look at the 1960s. This book encapsulates personal and public triumphs. Thank you for this incredible pick, Catherine!

What Nancy Is Listening to

We've been hooked on the work of bestselling author, editor, and podcaster Liz Moody for a long time, especially since our feature with her last year. Moody, a wellness advocate, puts a positive spin on the latest insight on mental health, physical fitness, food, and relationships in her work, so much of which is highlighted in her terrific podcast The Liz Moody Podcast. Every week, she interviews the best and the brightest experts, gathering their tips and offering them to all of us. Each episode offers an actionable way to kickstart a healthier, happier life. We're so grateful to Nancy for this recommendation!
