A few years ago, my grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. His cognitive decline became more drastic after he experienced a sudden fall. This concerned me and my family because as it showed how serious my grandfather's condition was. And we knew his time here with us was ticking away–

I was at the height of my career at the time; traveling the world directing global commercial campaigns, shooting music videos, and growing my brand at a feverish pace. For years, I always intended to make a film about him; but ‘life' always seems to get in the way. His fall was the sign that I needed. So in July of 2019, a month after his incident, I stopped everything I was doing indefinitely. I knew if I didn't take advantage of the little time I had left with him, I'd regret it for the rest of my life.

My short film, A Forgotten Life, delves into my grandfather's upbringing, his connection with his wife, and the implications that Alzheimer's has on him as well as the family. Although he can't remember much about anyone anymore, the one thing he can recall are the people he loves. In essence, the core theme is that love has the ability to transcend everything. Time, distance, and also a disease that wipes away your memory.

I have dedicated my life for the last two years to create this film. It is self funded, produced, written, directed, and edited by me. I hope people enjoy the film and find meaning through our journey.
