Actor Salma Hayek is still happily in love years after tying the knot with her husband, François-Henri Pinault. The two married in 2009 when she was 42 years old, and we admire how she never lost sight of true love until she found it with Pinault.

In an interview with Chelsea Handler, Hayek spoke positively about their union and said, “I'm very happy in my marriage. This is the best accomplishment of my life, a happy marriage and a healthy family life.”

The two share a 16-year-old daughter, Valentina, and Hayek is the step-mom to Pinault’s other three children, Augustin, Mathilde, and François.

“I think one of the clues is we don't really fight, but when there's a little challenge, or when somebody messes up, we never examine who to blame,” Hayek said when Handler asked the secret behind her successful marriage. “We completely focus on how to solve the problem…Congress should really listen to this love story.”

She says life keeps getting happier with her husband, and we couldn’t be happier for her. You can watch Hayek’s full interview below.

Question from the Editor: What are some other love stories you’ve heard that began later in life?
