I’m writing to you this morning from the road. No, not from the open roads of the U.S., from which I’ve written to you before. I’m writing instead from the roads of Europe (by the way, this publication is read in more than 100 countries) where I just spent another several days at the Special Olympics World Games.

In her bestselling book “The Artist’s Way,” author Julia Cameron famously encourages creatives to write “morning notes” at the start of each day. Much like that, I’ve spent a few minutes each day journaling my own thoughts and feelings about what I’ve experienced here. Consider my column this morning my “travel notes.” I hope you’ll find value in the observations I share with you.
