1. What Does the Future Hold for Abortion and Gun Laws?
This week, decisions by the Supreme Court brought hot button election issues to the forefront: On Thursday, the Supreme Court dismissed a challenge to the widely used abortion drug mifepristone and on Friday, the justices unanimously struck down a rule that banned bump stocks, issued by the Trump administration. When retired journalist Stephen Gettinger was first diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, he would replay some of the hardest memories from his own mother’s battle with the degenerative brain disease.
