Music Is a Love Language: This Young Cancer Patient Gets a Surprise Concert from Her Favorite Singer
In the sweetest act of kindness for a young fan, singer Tom Higgenson from the band Plain White T's surprised an adorable cancer patient named Delilah in her hospital room with a live performance. Watching the video of Higgenson singing her favorite song, “Hey There Delilah,” is reminding us that we can all show love in places we might not expect.
Throughout her four years of treatment, Delilah has listened to the Plain White T's hit song every day, and she had a huge smile on her face when Higgenson began singing in front of her. At the end of the touching video, Delilah’s parents and doctor sang along too, and she shared a big hug with Higgenson.
When posting the surprise concert for Delilah on Instagram, the Plain White T’s said, “Delilah has been fighting cancer for over 4 years. During her cancer treatments Delilah's favorite song has been “Hey There Delilah,” so we surprised her with @higgypop and her favorite song ❤️”
