When tragedy strikes, it's natural to want to help…and it can be tough to know where to start. That's why we're especially inspired by these two people who are doing what they can to help Afghan refugees and Hurricane Ida victims.

When American Airlines pilot Zak Khogyani was called to help transport Afghan refugees to safety, he didn't think twice about getting on the next plane. Read more about Khogyani's volunteer mission here.

And in the wake of Hurricane Ida's devastation in Louisiana, Matthew Marchetti organized more than 150 volunteers to conduct rescues and welfare checks and to clean damaged areas. You can read more about Marchetti's mission (plus, how you can get involved!) here.
