After Dawn Compton went through a series of surgeries to fight breast cancer, she realized other women may need support to help them through similar recovery journeys. So, Compton started donating items, such as mastectomy pillows and drainage shirts. These acts flourished into Compton's non-profit, The Blessing Box Project, which now has a team of volunteers and has donated nearly 6,000 boxes with supplies for women.
