Kier Gaines is a licensed therapist and mental health advocate who uses his social media platform to share what he’s learned about fatherhood, masculinity, and mental health. Gaines was raised by a single mother and grew up without a real paternal figure in his life. When he became a father himself, Gaines knew he wanted to break that cycle. Gaines is now a happily married father of two daughters and shares how present, affectionate, and encouraging he is with his children hoping to inspire others to do the same.

In honor of Father’s Day, Kier recently sat down with Hoda and Jenna on the TODAY show to share fatherly wisdom and answer viewer questions about common dad dilemmas—watch here.

For more from Kier Gaines, you can check out his YouTube channel with his wife Noémie or follow him on Instagram.
