My phone rang early in the morning while I was in the hotel gym, riding to nowhere. You know how that is, don’t you? There you are, riding an exercise bike, thinking, wondering. My friend Hoda was on the line, and hearing her voice made me smile.

“Get here,” she said (she was in Texas, and I was in Vegas). Then she added, “You know you’re doing too much, don’t you?” I smiled and said, “Yes, even I know that.”
