I want to talk about hats.Yep, HATS.If you're not conscious about the different hats you wear in your life, or you have an inability to change them, when appropriate, I think you're going to struggle. But, if you learn how to change your hats…at the appropriate time and just the right time…you can have a completely fulfilled and blissful life.Like me, you likely wear a lot of 'hats” in your life. I wear specific hats when:
  • I'm running my various businesses.
  • Another with my family.
  • I wear a different 'hat” when I'm in the gym.
  • And other hats when I'm out in public or with my friends.
Don't get me wrong, I'm always the same person when I'm wearing these hats. But I understand what parts of my personality to reveal at different times. You need to be able to move into:
  • 'Loving Mode”
  • 'Beast Mode”
  • 'Listening Mode”
  • 'Super-hero Mode"
Too often, you're taking your 'work hat" home with you. Or you take too soft an approach in the gym instead of arming yourself with your dominating "beast hat." You are one person with one character– however, you are more complex than you give yourself credit for.Your ability to change hats and move into different 'modes" is a massive key to you being productive and happy. And also to keeping the people around you happy. That is why I want you to be conscious of changing your hats when you walk into different situations. This visual and mental approach will serve you very well, as you step into different modes. Although these hats require us to act and respond differently depending on the circumstances, one thing that shouldn't change is the QUALITY of our CHARACTER.Your character defines your VALUES. People you know rely on these things to remain CONSTANT. That builds TRUST, quality RELATIONSHIPS, and a mutual RESPECT earned over time.Put on the right hats for the part, always!
