On Monday, the “Bachelor” franchise announced a new show centered around those looking for love in their “golden years.” Gerry Turner, 71, was crowned as the franchise's first-ever Golden Bachelor. Turner was married to his high school sweetheart, Toni, for 43 years before she passed in 2017. The couple have two daughters together, who Turner credits for encouraging him to sign up for the show. He told Good Morning America, “It’s never too late to fall in love again.” He added, “Don’t give up, there’s always possibilities.”

The series will air this fall on ABC and will be available to stream on Hulu. To watch Gerry’s full interview with Good Morning America, click here.
