I love the above quote because it challenges us to rethink something as simple and natural as crying. It takes something that many people associate with weakness and reframes it into an act of being alive.

So many of us are afraid to cry. We’re afraid to open the floodgates of our emotions. We sometimes even go to extraordinary lengths not to feel or cry. We build up walls to ensure that our tears never see the light of day.

I definitely was one of those people who viewed crying as a weakness. I used to be so uncomfortable when someone broke down in front of me and would immediately try to fix their situation. But thankfully, I've changed.
